Getting tattooed is not always THE most comfortable occasion. In this case, our good friend Shawn who usually takes sessions like a champ…Took it like a chump…
But it’s the finish product that truly matters, the inside of the arm is not always the best area to get tattooed, especially when hearing your boy whining about when the tattoo will be finished…
Shawn: “Are we there yet? Do you really have to do that? Can we save the white for the next time?…Riverside in the house!”
Jose: “Homie…lemme do my job.”

BOSTON TO CALI (PART 1)

Our loyal friend and customer Bob from Boston flew in this week for an amazing tattoo session by Lowrider’s Jose Lopez. Jose and Bob will continue their ongoing tattoo sessions and projects within the next several days before we part ways. Bob has also chosen to stay for several more days to attend the Long Beach Ink N Iron Tattoo Convention next weekend with us.

LONDON CALLING

Earlier this week we had the privledge of being in the company of Jaime, a returning client and friend from London.
It’s always a pleasure to have clients continually return seeking only the best in tattoo work. Jaime, has been tattooed both at the Milan Tattoo Convention as well as the London Tattoo Convention by none other then Jose Lopez.
…This time around, we were honored by having Jaime fly all the way from across the pond for a several hour session…

With June around the corner, we only have a week or two to get ready for the Long beach Tattoo show which will be housing the best artists in the world. Abbey, Klown, Jun and myself, Jose Lopez will be there to bring you the best tattoo work you have ever seen. We been busy working and bettering ourselves to pay you back for all the support you have shown us. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. TRIBAL STREET WEAR AND JOSE LOPEZ

“…I’ve been tattooing and doing art for 17 years straight now. It all started just to pass the time in school, you know to get through my English or Biology class, nothing serious. LYLE TUTTLE

At this past Nationals Tattoo Convention, we had the utmost pleasure of being in the company of the tattoo world’s most historic legends. One such in mind was Lyle Tuttle.
Lyle Tuttle opened his first infamous shop in 1960. Lyle has been almost solely responsible for bringing tattooing into the main stream. The subject of numerous documentaries on tattooing, magazines, and working on celebrities, turned Lyle to a working success. As tattooing emerged from an underground art form to the mainstream, Lyle worked with the San Francisco Department of Health to come up with modern and standardized techniques for the sterilization of tattooing equipment…
