Thanks to friends at HypeBeast for visiting us on our recent London trip. Take a look…
“The partners took said iconic style to a pop-up shop in London recently, which saw a massively successful turnout for the two veteran artists and other members of the Lowrider family. Hypebeast got the opportunity to speak with the two while the pop-up shop was occurring, and candidly conversed about their personal history of tattooing, aesthetic influence, and favorite work. For those overseas looking to get inked by one of these artists, Jose will be touring Rome from April 24 – May 14 and Jun will be in Paris from May 6 – 18. Enjoy the video above.” -HypeBeast

LONDON 2013 RECAP
Thursday, February 7th, 2013
Take a look at the recap from the recent London 2013 campaign. This past run has been one of the best and smoothest trips. With all the support from the people of Europe behind us, the energy and work momentum stayed strong throughout the late hours. The best part for me was to see my brothers Miguel and Noah taking things to the next level, and the effort they put into the craft. Giving as much attention in growing their minds as well as their work, these guys are leading a path to becoming great artists. And Jose, always giving and paying close attention and care in growing the team effort, guiding and empowering as a true leader. And of course we can’t forget the bones of the trip Alex, Steven and Toby. Without their hard work, patience, and motivational ball breaking, we would never have pulled through the long sessions. Enjoy this final release of all the work and also make sure you’re keeping up at: Lowrider Tattoo, NoahMinuskin.com, and MiguelOchoaTattoo.com. And for those in Italy, don’t forget to stop by the Lowrider Tattoo booth at the Milan convention this weekend where Jose, Miguel and Noah will be at work. Thanks to all for the love and support, more to come! - Jun Cha

REBIRTH
Tuesday, January 17th, 2012
As we look into the future our goals and dreams tend to look like blur, but as we fine tune our minds and look a little closer they seem to take a different shape. This happens all the time….life is very forgiving and willing to give us another chance as long as we are willing to take it.
Where there were once tears of sorrow,
They are no more,
Body and soul, I seek potency within.
Shrouded in darkness, I now find the light,
I must be vigilant as there is always darkness that lingers.
I take a walk down the corridors of time,
Over look what has been, what is now, and what will come to pass,
I must not be afraid,
Where there is fear,
Comfort will come,
Patience is the key.
My body is broken,
Heart bleeds from pain,
My eyes see no more deceit to this world.
I cower no more
I close my eyes,
Release all sorrows inside,
I worry not for I know my heart shall heal in time.
I have self-confidence.
There is a light within,
Seek it beyond my darkness,
If found, I must walk to it,
For there lies a door beyond.
If I believe once more,
The door will open,
I wish to find redemption.
Forgiveness and help will come to me if only I ask.
Behind the door lies a pool,
If I trust than will I bathe in its waters.
I leave behind all misfortunes,
I shall be reborn.
Breathe again,
All is forgiven,
I appreciate this second chance.
Time is what I have.
Have faith,
I know I am loved,
I am free,
This is me,
This is the story of my rebirth.

And suddenly all things become clearer, things begin to make sence. It is like a rebirth free from all worries a fresh start, a new year, A new year that will bring all goods things because we have worked so hard for them giving and sacrificing so much just to be here. I thank every body that has helped us along the way not only me but my whole team. They are all doing an amazing job here at the studio, when ever I feel down all I need to do is go back and look at this blog and see how far my boys have come.

Every day thats goes by we grow as a team and we support one another and just like the ancient chinesse philosphies teach us, One stick is easy to break but when you join several of them together it is hard to do so. We know it wont be easy but we keep working hard and we face our demons every day battling them time after time unafraid and only more confident ever time.

Here are some of the works the boys at the shop have been doing, onece again it is amazing how far they have come Im extreamly proud of all of them. Im sure you will also be delighted with their work.

NOAH
Wednesday, January 11th, 2012
A long time ago a lil kid came to my shop asking for direction and a chance to sit down and talk to me about tattoos…. He asked a lot of questions and I answer them to the best of my knowledge…This went on for a while and time after time he would come back to talk some more until I ask him if he really wanted to learn a lil more he could come with me and really jump in the water and get his feet wet, I assure him it would not be easy but he welcomed the challenge and he started working with me, going to all the places I was going to. I remember him always standing right next to me always watching me, with almost no expression on his face just intaking all the information in front of him.
This kid was like no other he did not have a care for anything but learning how to tattoo, it was almost weird that he did take interest in other things other guys were doing and he would never leave my side. I remember a time when we went to one of the first tattoo Conventions out of state and it just happened to be his birthday, lol. I though it be a good idea to get him drunk but actually it was a bad one… We found that out the next day, not only him but all of us had to worst headache ever. My pocket was full of money cause we were gambling and drinking patron and aparently I won all the money that night. I didn’t remember anything. The worst part is that we still had to tattoo that weekend and that didn’t stop us we were there to tattoo and thats what we did. Now that I look back and remember so many moments its seems like it was yesterday. Only that lil kid has grown to become a man, a man that I’m very proud of, His name in Jun Cha. His is on his way to make his own mark in the tattoo world and he still come around all the time to check on us and help out at the studio. Nothing has change he is and will alway be family. I’m writing this because another kid has stepped in to the shop just like Jun did 6 years ago with the same determination. So I could not stand there and do nothing, I welcomed him into the shop just like jun for I saw the same potential and the same drive. It is funny how life and history repeats it self.
He goes by the name of Noah a young artist from Santa Rosa CA, He left everything behind just to pursue his passion for tattoos. And just like Jun he went ahead and enlisted him self in the Art Center Of Pasadena. I really think there’s a lot of very good things that are going to come out of this kid for I have seen it in another, Jun.

With only a few years of Tattooing he is already a master of Hand Script and many other types of tattooing.

With the skills he will be learning in school and at the shop I’m sure he will become a great tattooist.

I really hope that he takes advantage of everything in front of him just like Jun did. Now I’m going to have two guys around me looking over my shoulder, lol.
Thats has never been a problem with me they are my kids, and most importantly they are my friends.

With this new year comes Noah he will be a great asset to Lowrider Tattoo and a great complement to All the other tattooist at the shop like Johnny Opina, Miguel, Gustavo and another great artists sam and lil b.
I’m Proud of all of them And would like to wish them all the best in everything they do.

Lowrider Tattoo started with a dream with one man sitting in a wheelchair wondering what would become of him… He never imagine what would unfold in the coming years. Just when it seemed like it was over, a bright light shined down on him and showed him the path that he is now following, Tattooing.
I’m very fortunate to have such big family and I’m really happy to add Noah as a new member of the Lowrider tattoo Family. Come check him out and find out what I’m talking about, he has lots of talents just waiting to be explored.

OUR BOY WEMBLY
Sunday, June 12th, 2011
Our boy Wembly came in to support us and help us in any way possible in our last visit to Breda. We continued to his collection with a beautiful portrait of his mother.

While doing the tattoo he share a life changing story with me. He told he had talk to his mother about the tattoo he wanted to get, and how he was going to be with her at all times now…. His mother answer ” If you want to be with at all times you should try visiting me more often.”
We all get caught up in our own life, that we some times forget to do a very simple thing, visit our loved ones I guess this is a lesson for all of us. We continued to work on his fathers portrait, which by the way was very hard, for he only had one picture of his dad the way he wanted to remember him. So I had to work my magic and do all that i could to pull it off….
I’m really glad that Wembly was part of this unforgettable trip and I’m also very thank full for the story he shared with me. We should all visit our mothers more often!
